Google Panda SEO and Traffic

The relationship between SEO and Traffic is something that has always been assumed, but there is little hard evidence that one will lead to the other. What has been documented is without proper SEO, your website traffic does not generally flow your way.

This is one of the constants in the cyber world, most of what is known is assumed. The Google monster is the best example of this. They have made it a habit to be very vague on just what they do and how they list websites in their SERP’s. This is done on purpose so it will always be a challenge by website owners to guess just what will help them rise to the top.

With the stated overall goal of improving the enjoyment of the average surfer by Google, most website owners are concentrating on only posting quality articles. This content has to be keyword rich without being stuffed so the appropriate listing on the SERP’s is obtained. By only posting high quality content for the viewership to see, a site will be rewarded with a good ranking on the SERP’s for the appropriate keywords.

Google Panda SEO

That is the theory, but with Panda being introduced sometime ago, many website owners feel mistakes by Google were made. There has been a slow but continuous progress for many of the websites that were unjustly punished for unknown reasons. What is apparent is that the greater number of high quality links you have to your site, the better your results will be in the SERP’s most of the time. Again there have been no official studies confirming this.

There are many different web consultants that claim they have a fool proof plan that will get any site listed higher. What is the truth is that there are plans that work to SEO a site that will work in some instances part of the time. There is no one path to success other than for being consistent and determined over a long period of time.

By placing high quality content on your site that has the keywords placed in the optimum position, you stand the greatest chance of achieving a higher SERP’s standing as compared to your competitor. You will also need to link your site to multiple high traffic sites so the accumulated effect will be passed on to your site.

Knowing how to connect SEO and Traffic is and probably always will be a guessing game. You can do your part by always having quality content on your site and do not attempt to do any shortcuts that could jeopardize what you have already done. This is the best way to increase your traffic.

Latest on Google Panda SEO and Traffic

As this article goes to print we notice that another recent Panda update has just occurred.  You now doubt will see the resulting affects on some of your niche marketing sites.  Those of you that have highly relevant content, on topic in your niche will not be apt to be hurt.  That is, unless you do not update your content on a continual basis.

What Google wants their users to find is the latest news about whatever your subject is.  They also want to see relevant websites linked to from your article.  Why?  Because they want YOU to provide excellent resources (as well as sources) of your content.

SEOMoz tells it like it is:  Google’s “Freshness” Update

So post wisely, post on topic, post often, cite brand new or news type items, and link out to other authority sites even if it is to your competition.  You will get your reward in Google Heaven which will show you the relevance to SEO and traffic.

What do Mindmaps and Multiple Masters Degrees Have to do with SEO?

Well if you read all the way through this post you will find out.  Let me just say that when I see mindmaps and a teacher’s name that has a bachelors and two masters degrees after his name I know I am out of my league.

This post is about a Warrior Forum, Warrior Special Offer (WSO), that I laid my money down on a couple of weeks ago.  The title of the WSO course is Juggernaut SEO which sort of intrigued me as a juggeranut is an unstoppable force, so just had to know more.

Unstoppable is the perfect word to describe this man, John S. Rhodes.  Before this WSO I had never heard of him, better yet I am sure he never had heard of me, but I am here to tell you that I will never forget him and I have only been exposed to two of his classes to date.

Here’s the deal.  These classes, each one of them could almost be described as a full college course, or at least a two day seminar.  You better pee before you log in.  Have your caffeine within your reach and get your pen and note pad in hand.

Once this guy starts there are no breaks and each single class has been about five hours each.  If you ask me I would prefer to have twenty 1 hour classes because for me, who is a prime example of AADHD (and what IM’r isn’t?) I have to force myself to stay with him.

Sounds like an easy task but here is what happens.  John will mention a topic or make a point and your mind races instantly to something you just did or something you have been planning to check in to and you want to scoot off page to go and make some magic happen from your fingertips.

Better not leave though, because the next best tip is in the following sentence.  Holy cow, this man knows his stuff!  Just as you are thinking, yeah, yeah, I know all that, he will hit you with a zinger that takes you right back to the Holy cow!

So far after 10 hours of instruction he is just about starting to get around to SEO.  The first classes have been about getting your head screwed on right.  You are going to learn things like, what makes people buy, how you should be hitting hot buttons with your offers, feeding their inner child, (and yours) and crap that you never ever knew related to SEO, but has absolutely EVERYTHING to do with SEO.

You are in this game for the money right?  Well sticking up a website with some Adsense or an affiliate product on it will not make you rich.  You MUST learn about the things that John teaches.  Then you will start to “Get It.”

The world truly is your oyster.  If you can not suffer through five hours at a sitting, no worries, each class is recorded fully in video, audio, and pdf, so you will have these gems to use forever.

I am sure that I could find an affiliate link somewhere but I am not going to use one.  I urge ALL of my readers to take John’s Internet Marketing Juggenaut SEO course.  Your life will be changed forever.  By joining a little late you will not miss a thing because you will still get the complete program.

Oh, and he really does not flaunt the masters degrees, but I picked them off of one of his early sections “About me”.  He is as down to earth as they come and you will benefit greatly with this course.  Not sure what the price is right now, but it doesn’t matter this is one of those courses that REALLY IS worth thousands of dollars, not just some marketing BS.

On an unrelated topic, but one that I want my readers to know about, The University Kid, aka TUK, has a great blog in the mmo or IM field or as he calls it, How to Make Money at Home, and he is requesting guest posts for consideration to be published on his site.

Guest posts have some of the highest authority in the eyes of the search engines because they are considered peer blogs and you get to use your keyword anchor text as a link.  It doesn’t get any better than that.

Top 3 Most Important Things for Blog SEO, Content, Content, Content

Just like location, you just can’t beat good content. The Google Meisters will tell you that if you have good content, that others will link to you. Well, maybe. But there is no doubt about it, if you have good content and it is interesting and helpful to the reader, then Google will shower you with blessings and you just might wiggle upward in the search results.

So if you have one or two blogs about something that really interests you, and that you have quite a bit of good knowledge to share, then the writing should come easy to you. You either have it or you don’t. If you can sit down and whip out an article real fast, say in five or ten minutes, and then give yourself a couple of minutes to go back and proof and correct your typos, then you are a really good writer. Congratulations.

TIP! To be successful at article marketing you have to make writing a priority. One technique that works well is to set aside a block of time daily just for writing.

Now what if you are a niche marketer that publishes dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of websites humping products and services of all kinds, sort of like someone I know real well. Then the writing becomes a little difficult at times.

So I am going to unleash three of my secret weapons for great content, of which you will thank me for profusely. There is just no way that I can write dozens of articles a day, well not with all the other things I have to do. So I am going to give you a recommendation from the bottom of my heart.

TIP! Short and simple is best when it comes to article marketing. The world of writing for the web is a different beast than writing for a magazine or newspaper.

I employ many writers with varying degrees of proficiency and cost. The very best one that I use and who has been writing for me going on three years now is Douglas at American Article Writer dot com.

Douglas is a retired American chemist that lives in the Philippine Islands permanently and with the cost of living as low as it is there the price that he is able to offer will amaze you. In a way I hate to share this secret weapon, but he deserves some good publicity and I know you will be delighted with his work. He can write on virtually any subject.

TIP! Always make your content unique. Don’t base your writing off articles written by others or copy articles and only change a few words.

The second resource that I use for great content is my friend Rosie who offers awesome Private Label Rights (PLR) content articles that you can rewrite slightly and use for your niche marketing websites or for parallel blogs that provide backlinks.

This type of content has been used by others previously and even though Google does not ‘punish’ you for using duplicate content, they also do not bother to give you any ranking points if the article has been published before. So it is really easy to just reword some of the synonyms, change some sentences around, keep the same meaning and insert your keywords of choice to use as filler articles on your many blogs.

So as a get acquainted special Rosie will give you an absolutely free 12 pack of PLR articles on the Weight Loss niche.  Even if you do not have a weight loss blog you should download the free weight loss article pack and see the types of articles that she can provide for you.

Thirdly for great content articles we recommend that you hire a full time virtual assistant.  Check out the site at VirtualAssistant-Jobs.com and see the types of writers and content providers that you can find in the Philippines.

So no whining from now on about Blog SEO.  You have no excuses for not having great content, content, content.

Do you Dare to put Hyphens in your Domain Name?

To all of the Bloggers and SEO experts out there that say;

“Oh never put hyphens in your domain name!”
“Google will penalize you for multiple hyphens in your url.”
“Google will lower your page rank if you use hyphens.”
“Google just might delist you if they think you are trying to game the system.”

So is all of the above true, or just a bunch of Bull Shit?

Do the SEO gurus know what they are talking about, or are they just repeating drivel that they heard about or read some where on another “expert” Blog?

Case in point. I wanted to review how to backup or copy and transfer Outlook Express contacts for a friend that I was going to do this for later today. So naturally I did a Google search of just exactly the following search phrase, with no quotes:

how copy and transfer outlook express messages and contacts

Received Title Bar in Number one place, (That’s Page 1, #1!) that reads,

ABC Outlook Express Backup:outlook express data backup and restore …

and the url is: www.outlook-express-email-backup.com/

The website arrived at is: StartKing Software
They sell a software package to do this backup and transfer for $89.00!
(Remember this is ahead of Microsoft and everyone!)

StartKing has a GPR of 3/10 and an Alexa rank of 4,182,018 when I checked it this morning.

Eighty Nine bucks for something that you can easily do yourself with just a little cut and paste of a few files that Microsoft explains in great detail when you follow the above search a little beyond P1, #1.

How the Hell does a website with only a GPR of 3 and an Alexa in the 4 millions beat out everyone else? HYPHENS people!

So is StartKing gaming the system? You bet! More power to them! This move was genius. Three hyphens in the url that clearly are only there to spoof the munificent Google spider bots! LOL – No, ROFLMAO !

Congratulations StartKing.
Don’t listen to all those SEO experts.

www.outlook-express-email-backup.com/ … Indeed!

And no, I have absolutely no connection with this company. The above is a totally true unbiased story.
