So when this Blog started it was going to be about making links. There was no plan, just “what the hey, let’s give it a go.” Then Linkmoney.org evolved into my blah, blah, blah about Blogging. Go figure. Read no more, download the FREE eBook now.

Well the more I have learned in the past two years of Internet Marketing or what I like to call Blogging Make Money, I know now more than ever that it takes links to get recognized as an authority site and to gain juice in the search engine rank positions. So we are almost full circle in that this post is again about making links.

Links in, or back links, or backlinks, whatever you want to call them are important. There is no question about it you need them. You no doubt have learned some of the ways to gain some respect and gain links in the process is to leave comments on Blog posts of other Bloggers in your niche and they in turn will give you a link in the comments area. Then you also use Twitter and a dozen other social media sites to promote your blog posts and each one of those will give you a link.

There is another very valuable resource to use to gain these precious links that add up to you becoming the cream of the crop for your niche, and that is Directory Listings. In the early days of link building there were some important directories that you could get listed in such as the Yahoo directory and DMOZ and the Best of the Web, and these are all still good to do, though difficult or costly now. However you have alternatives available. There are way over 1,000 directories scattered all over the world that are now recognized by the search engines as great sources of data to be included in their search indexes, and you should strive to have your blog listed in as many as you possibly can.
