I Want to Increase My Alexa Ranking

Alexa is owned by Amazon and they use a rating system that estimates all website traffic.  When a site is brand spanking new it starts out with an Alexa rank of several million.  In this ranking system the smaller the number that your website receives is better.

Your site will not start to show up in the Alexa charts until your site is in the top 100,000.  To tell the truth I never worried much about it and I never have worried much about the Google Page Rank score either.  In GPR your site is rated as a number from 0 to 9, or possibly 10 not sure about that.

Now lately I have had two different companies contact me out of the blue to ask for my advertising rate for inclusion of either banner ads or a simple anchor text ad.  This is about the only time that the Alexa score really counts because advertisers that are in the know do look at the Alexa number to decide whether or not to spend part of their marketing budget with you or say John Chow.  I do have a feeling that my ad rate is slightly below John Chow’s but I want to change that.

So here’s the deal.  On the next post after this one I am going to start a contest that will run until the end of the year.  My goal is to see my Alexa ranking drop to below 100,000 and so I not only will have bragging rights but that my daily chart will look real cool in the sidebar, and hopefully the advertisers will be enticed to spend a buck or two with me.

Here is where you readers come in.  I will have multiple ways that you can enter the contest.  There will be three good prizes.  “Good Prizes!” All entrants will have an equal chance in the final drawing and you will be able to increase your chances through performing multiple tasks to help this site get some recognition.  More about all of this and I will have full details in the next post.

The following are some things that I have been doing on my own to help this site and you will no doubt want to do some of these for your own site, and I encourage it.  Some of these things will be used as entrant’s requirements to enter the forthcoming contest here on Linkmoney.org.

Here is what I have been doing lately in the case of trying to improve Alexa score.
First of all it is not an exact science but if you ever intend to sell paid advertisements it is reported that advertisers look at this score as part of their evaluation of your website. Needles to say a lower Alexa score is better.

Alexa tells us that the score is developed from an average of your past three month’s traffic stream. However what some people do not realize is that it is not a fair and accurate measurement because the only traffic that counts in Alexa’s eyes is from browsers that have the Alexa toolbar installed on them.

So a deep meaning website that might be chock full of good socially beneficial content, but might be more apt to be visited by readers that do not have the toolbar installed, do not get the votes. Primarily the sites that gain the most benefit from this system would be the make money online, or Blogs about blogging, domaining, coding, and so on. In other words the majority of visitors would be propeller heads and might more likely be apt to have the Alexa toolbar installed.

So what I recommend is that everyone go to Alexa right now and install the toolbar in your browser, and then for what it is worth and I do believe it counts, set your own website up to be your computer start up homepage. That way every time you turn your computer on or page out and revisit your own site is a vote.   (In the past two days I have seen my own score drop 6,000 points and I believe it is only from performing this feature.)

Another thing I do is to grab the Alexa sidebar widget that shows your Alexa score and the number of back links that Alexa has discovered for your site. (See mine down at the lower right hand side.)  So, just slide a text box widget over to your sidebar, and insert the code and you are good to go. I also add a text title that tells the reader to “Click for Alexa Vote” (or something like it.) That way even if a reader does not have the Alexa toolbar, and they click on the widget banner, then that is a vote for your site also.

One other thing that I have just started to do is to use the Alexa site voting feature, and I give an Alexa five star rating to friends and they return the favor. So anyone that will go to Alexa and give this site a five star rating will be immediately entered into the forthcoming contest, “and” I also will return the favor, just let me know when you have posted the five star rating for Linkmoney.org.

I have not found anyone that is willing to say for sure that it helps in the overall Alexa scoring, but the way I look at it is that I suspect it does, and if not it can’t hurt anything. So it is election season, let’s all vote each other a nice easy government job. LOL

Cheers.
Rich Hill

Ps: This site uses the CommentLUV widget and also the Top Commentator widget.  So the top commentators will receive a do follow backlink.  Do not spam it or you will be deleted obliterated, and an Exocet missile will home in on your signal generating device.  Please leave as many nice comments as you want at any time, not just for a contest event.

Happy Halloween.

Is Google Sniper The Real Deal?

I asked myself the obvious, “Is Google Sniper the real deal”?  If you are in the Internet Marketing business and trying to find the best ways to make some money online then you have no doubt tried many different systems.  Some work really well, some are just plain old duds.
google-sniper.jpg
So with full disclosure: There are affiliate advertisements for this product on this website. But in this case I am going to give you my own impressions and opinion of this product, Google Sniper.  I am not being paid by George Brown or any other person or company to tell you this.  I will however earn a commission if you do decide to try it yourself.

Chances are you heard some of the build up to the forthcoming release of Google Sniper the buzz was everywhere.  “18 year old former furniture mover earns $15,000 per month…” I usually avoid these things like a plague, but for some reason this one had a little different twist and I wanted to know more.

Jack Humphrey of Friday Traffic Report and BlogSuccess fame is the one who first made me aware of Google Sniper and I trust Jack. I am a member of BlogSuccess, and decided to go a little deeper.

The first thing that made me almost back off entirely was that George was only 18 years old when he reportedly hit the big time and developed Google Sniper.  Well at the ripe old age of 19 now he is sending messages to his minions from Thailand and other exotic places as he is taking a leisurely trip around the world.  You see George “has people” now.  He can come and go as he damn well pleases.

I remember last year one time I was on one of the mmo forums and some pimple faced geek claimed he was making $10K a week using Adwords and selling some shitty Acai Berry weight loss product.  I called that dude out and said if that was true he would be on Oprah and man was I surprised!  That kid had followers that booed me right off the podium.  Turns out he “was” making that kind of money as a young teen-ager.  Friggin incredible!

I have been trying dozens, hundreds, perhaps thousands of things in the last three years to try to make some serious cash with Adsense and affiliate marketing.  Some have been OK, many were flops, but what the hey?  So I joined the program.  It was less than a hundred bucks and I have wasted more than that thousands of times.  “Hey it’s about my time”!

So if you are in that same position you will do well to download your copy of the Google Sniper training program and videos, and make sure you follow the steps.  Here is why I say that.  George takes the approach that you are a first time IM wannabe, and he starts out with just how to get set up with WordPress and what plugins to install, etc.  “Come on George I know all that crap, give me the tricky stuff”, I’m thinking’.

Turns out, there is no “tricky stuff”.    I was expecting to hear the voice of a Crazy Eddie or the Sham wow guy, but not at all.  George does not sound like a kid at all and you can tell immediately that he has two things going for him.  The first is that he has some very powerful grey matter between his ears, and the next, though I have no proof, I’ll bet he had a wonderful set of parents teaching him manners and right from wrong in his growth years.

If you follow his plan and select the perfect niches, and he tells you how to find them, and more importantly how to select the “right” one, then you will make money.  Let’s put it this way.  I have found a niche to start a fresh brand new Google Sniper program with and will have it up and running in a week or so.  Got to clear my plate of many other projects with loose ends first.

So what I did two days ago was to take some of the key points of his marketing plan and instituted them on one of my better niche sites.  This site has become an authority site in the “Green” category.  It is a GPR3, Alexa about 300K and has regular readers plus about 200 to 300 per day that find it in search.  It ranks top 10 for about a dozen good keywords in green.

That site regularly kicks off five ten bucks a day in PPC and about the same in affiliate products.  I put some ClickBank products on it a few months ago and it usually has a half-dozen or so hops per week and once in a while a reader makes an investment in some item that catches their fancy.

That was two days ago that I used just one tiny part of the Google Sniper training program on.  Yesterday from 300 viewers I had 95 CB hops to an alternate energy product.  There was no trickery, no sleight-of-hand.  Everything that I presented about the product was in full disclosure that it was an advertisement and all I did was use George’s easy method.

Why did it work?  Will it hold up?  Was it a flash in the pan?  Those are obvious questions and there is no immediate answer, however, I know deep down inside that this is good stuff.  These are common sense approaches that anyone can do by working the plan.

All I can tell you further is that it is working for me and I am positive that it will work for you if you can follow “very” simple instructions and forget your previous methods.

You can click this link: Is Google Sniper the real deal, or any of the affiliate banners that are on this site to check it out for yourself.

Do You Flog for Links?

Here’s the way I see it. We all Blog, right? Well do you Flog for links?

You’ve heard it all before, write good content and other authority sites will link to you. Bull shit! In your dreams they will. The following procedures are of course nothing that I would do but you might like to know about the possibility of Flogging.

Some Bloggers set up multiple Blogs in every niche market that they intend to Blog in. Then after you have written several good posts on your primary niche marketing Blog, you can then start posting articles in the secondary Blogs, or as I like to call them Flogs, and include some nice anchor text keyword hyperlinks to your primary site. Simple right?

Now if you do decide to follow the Flog trail, make it real. Don’t just put junk articles on the Flogs, take your time and write some decent information. Think about previous articles that you have written on any of your Blog posts on other sites and decide if they would be appropriate to insert a short sentence or two in a previous post and include your anchor text link to…where else?

Another form of a Flog is a miscellaneous or catch-all type of Blog that has no particular theme and might have hundreds of Blog posts in any given category. You will have to be a little creative to come up with ideas on how to build such a site full of content in all different fields, but may I suggest perhaps you think about “RSS”? Some of this content can come from automated feeds as mentioned and some you can easily get for a few dollars as in Private label Rights (PLR) articles.

Don’t bother to tell me about duplicate content because I don’t care to hear it. I know what works, of course not that I have ever tried it personally…

You also might find this site of interest Make Money Online with Niche Support. These people all seem to be master Floggers, not that I would know of course…

Here is another cool place to get as many free links as you feel like applying for.  1 Family Classifieds will let you run free classified ads in any subject category and when you insert your free ad you can make an html anchor text hyperlink. Now don’t that just kick ass?

One new thing that you will notice here on the Blogging Make Money Blog at http://Linkmoney.org is that I have added the plugin for “Top Commentator.” See it over there on the right? Every month the top 5 (for now) commentators will receive a do-follow link in my sidebar. Just leave a good comment and you will be entered. Spammers will be banned.

So how about you? Are you ready to Flog?
Backlinks are very important you know.

The Power of Using Twitter Advanced Search

sub title:

” Kill the Competition on Twitter! “

Twitter will no doubt be using search in their master money plan.  You should too!  Here at Linkmoney our following and follower base has been growing immensely using this and other methods.

I have been using a method to use Twitter Search to narrow down some excellent tweeple to follow with a little used method that Twitter gives you for free!

Note when you log in to Twitter you will see a great big search box, which is why I say that they will be monetizing soon with search ads.  The method that you will want to use is not with that search box though.

Go instead to http://search.twitter.com and you will find a more sophisticated search form that allows you to use Boolean search methods without having to know boo.

If you have a product or a service that you are selling, and who does not?  Then you will want to click on the Advanced Search link and use the following format to get ahead of the competition.

The search form fields are:
All of these words:
This exact phrase:
Any of these words:
None of these words:
This hashtag:
Written in: (select language)

So for the example shown, and I’m sure you will come up with a million better ways, I selected; All of these words: buy, Any of these words: music iphone zune blackberry, None of these words: http www.

As the photo here shows by inserting specific qualifiers in your search string you have not only narrowed the users down to users in your specific niche, you have eliminated all the other competitors.

Twitter Advanced Search

Twitter Advanced Search

How does this work?  Simple, by using the “None of these words” field and inserting both http and www you have effectively eliminated all the other competitors that are trying to sell something, because you have searched for all messages with no “LINKS”.

Now go out there and get some followers that are looking to buy just exactly what ever it is you are selling!

Follow me at twitter.com/linkmoneydotorg.

ps: If you have some tips on how to use Twitter Advanced Search we would love to hear about them.  Please send comments.

This Post About Baseball is for My Two Grandsons

This post is about a product for baseball training.  You will note that it is a bit out of character for me to be writing about sports, but I have two grandsons that are big time into high school baseball and this device is one of the coolest ideas I have seen in years and thought I would give it a plug.  This is not an affiliate link advertisement.

There are many types of hitting and batting practice stands and pitching machines that will train the player on how to hit, how to keep your eye on the pitched ball, timing and when and how to swing.  Those things run in price from very low to very high and only very fortunate teams will own a machine for this type of training of the offense.

So what about devices for training the defense team work?  Well that is where this item comes in.  It is a low priced device that can be used year around for keeping the fielders in tip top shape.  It is called the ReactionPro and what it is is a flexible pad that you roll out on the floor or ground and then you pitch the ball at the pad and the defense players respond to the ball no matter which of the erratic directions it hops off toward.

There is an irregular surface design built into the pad that causes the ball to hop toward an unpredictable direction.  It is simple in design and very helpful in building instinctive reaction in the fielder’s response.  It really simulates just exactly what the ball would do in real play.

No matter the condition of the infield or the outfield the ball just does not always bounce off in the exact same direction that it was hit.  The ground surface will often cause a ball to bounce on by the fielder and then two things happen, the runner advances and the in-fielder or the out-fielder earns an error.

Normally when coaches train the defense the coach hits balls to each of them in turn or at random and one of the players gets some action.  With this unique training device more players are able to train much faster and the team will build up an instinctive response to the ball in play.

We like the ReactionPro so much we bought 3 of them, one for the two grandsons to use at home and two to donate to their school.  Check out the videos and instructions and see how the pad is used in defense training by going to Baseball-Training.net.

We think everyone will be interested in using this tool.  Just don’t tell the teams that my two grandsons play against.

UPDATE:
We think you or your kid would like to know about this most excellent program that is happening in October and November for kids.   The All-American ReactionPro® Defensive Baseball Challenge is happening at various locations around the country.  Your kid can show his or her baseball stuff and have an opportunity to win a training program at the IMG Baseball Academy in Florida.  Click this link to get full particulars on the Baseball Challenge.

If the above link does not work for some reason you can copy and paste this url into your browser. http://baseball-training.net/the-baseball-challenge-2.html.  Please pass this information on to your kid’s coaches.

Is TipDrop.com a Twitter Killer?

Chalk up another hit for Jonathan Leger.  I wrote about Jonathan in a previous post where I recommended Automated Legal Backlinks as a method of building back links to your website.  Well now Jonathan has come out with a new service that is sort of Twitter like with a specific twist.

TipDrop.com is a free site that you can register at, get a username and password and then start dropping tips on what ever subject that you know things about that you want to share with others.  Everyone is knowledgeable in something and you are no exception.  You certainly know specific things about your job, your family, your hobbies, your website, your niche category and dozens of other categories that you excel in and that you would be willing to share with others and the quid-pro-quo is a backlink to your website.

Just like Twitter you keep your tips short and concise and right to the point.  State your tip and go on to the next one.  TipDrop.com is new and has had very little publicity yet.  Jonathan said today that he has just made a deal with an International press release company to kick off a major news announcement campaign.

He also states that in the first 24 hours this brand new website achieved 150,000 page views!  Wow!  Just think what a major advertising campaign will do for it.  The idea that you can add your two cents to help other people and in return you get traffic to your own website is a win win situation.

From the latest email that I received here are the steps to take to get started:
1. Create a free account at TipDrop.com
2. In your user settings, setup links to your web site.
3. Post quality tips on subjects you are knowledgeable in.
That’s all there is to it!  When people read your great tips and
visit your profile page, they’ll be able to click-through to your
web site.

What could possibly be easier?  I do not see this as a Twitter killer, but it absolutely positively will become massively popular.  You should get in on the ground floor and start dropping your tips.  Sign up now for a free account on TipDrop.com

Keep track of my posts about tipdrop.com on Twitter.  My user name on both Twitter and TipDrop are the same so follow me: linkmoneydotorg.

Linkmoney is About Links, Right? Free eBook Download

So when this Blog started it was going to be about making links. There was no plan, just “what the hey, let’s give it a go.” Then Linkmoney.org evolved into my blah, blah, blah about Blogging. Go figure. Read no more, download the FREE eBook now.

Well the more I have learned in the past two years of Internet Marketing or what I like to call Blogging Make Money, I know now more than ever that it takes links to get recognized as an authority site and to gain juice in the search engine rank positions. So we are almost full circle in that this post is again about making links.

Links in, or back links, or backlinks, whatever you want to call them are important. There is no question about it you need them. You no doubt have learned some of the ways to gain some respect and gain links in the process is to leave comments on Blog posts of other Bloggers in your niche and they in turn will give you a link in the comments area. Then you also use Twitter and a dozen other social media sites to promote your blog posts and each one of those will give you a link.

There is another very valuable resource to use to gain these precious links that add up to you becoming the cream of the crop for your niche, and that is Directory Listings. In the early days of link building there were some important directories that you could get listed in such as the Yahoo directory and DMOZ and the Best of the Web, and these are all still good to do, though difficult or costly now. However you have alternatives available. There are way over 1,000 directories scattered all over the world that are now recognized by the search engines as great sources of data to be included in their search indexes, and you should strive to have your blog listed in as many as you possibly can.

What we have for you today is a FREE eBook that you can download right here and it will outline just about everything you ever wanted to know about directory Listings and how to get listed. Here is a capsule outline of what is covered in the FREE eBook that I call,

Put Your Links in Over 1,000 Directories

Outline:
* Introduction to directories and directory submissions
* The importance and benefits of directory submissions
* Common myths about directory submissions
* How to make directory submissions yourself
* What happens after a site has been submitted?
* Recommended directory submissions
* Types of directories

Once you have read this book you will ask yourself “Why didn’t I start doing this a long time ago?” It is not too late to get started.

How I Added 5,000 plus Followers on Twitter in Two Months

First of all I am not promoting any automated giddy gadget and this will not cost you one red cent.  This post is straight up as to how I added 5,000 plus followers on Twitter in two months.

I wrote a post last month about how I had started to build my Twitter followers list from a paltry 200 to 300 followers using @ALLTOP for locating quality tweeple to follow.  You can read the previous post here:
How to Get Targeted Quality Followers on Twitter

added 5000 followers twitter

Well I still do that because ALLTOP.com is a directory of high quality websites in all fields of interest and once your site is accepted into their directory they grab your RSS feed and keep updating every time you post.  They do not accept everyone but if you want good ranking and to see your site improving with more subscribers you should submit to ALLTOP if you think you have what it takes.  They are looking for a few good Blogs.  Because an actual human being goes out and verifies each website for content quality you can be assured that these sites are the best in their field.  So find their Twitter name, follow them, retweet some of their posts and then most important, follow their followers.

So lately I am using another well known resource to find things to tweet about.  I use StumbleUpon regularly to find things that interest me and then I copy the title of an article from the Stumbled website and paste it into the Twitter message box, go back and make a tinyURL from the address line and copy that in to Twitter and there you have it.  You have just tweeted something of interest to your followers and very often many of them will retweet that post to their followers and suddenly you will have new tweeple following you.  Not to mention that you often get a thank you from the original article poster when they get a message that you tweeted about them.

Now how to break through some of the Twitter built in stumbling blocks.  Twitter likes to see your twitter messages as being of value.  Following the above they will be.  Then they do not want to see automated programs trying to game the system, though many of these do work you stand the chance of doing one wrong move and suddenly you will be banned.  Not worth the chance to me, so I use manual tried and true methods.

I usually follow anywhere from 50 to 200 new tweeps a day, selected with care from other followers lists.  If they are using the default image I usually do not follow them, not that I am elite or anything it is just that they are not likely to be a sophisticated Twitter user yet.  If they do not bother to upload an image than I usually pass them by unless I know them.

By selecting your followers manually you can avoid “some” of the spammers and porn idiots.  If you use an automated follower tool they will be in your list and then your followers might be apt to place you in the ranks of the crappy tweeples and you do not want that.

When you get up near 2,000 followers you want to go in and drop your list of people that you are following down below your followers count.  That way Twitter will not hold you back from going beyond 2,000.

Once you have over 2,000 and less than 4,000 followers you will do best to keep the ratio of following to followers to about + 10% or less.  Then once you are over 4,000 it seems as though Twitter will let you follow as many as you want every day, but I still keep to my 50 to 200 and my list just keep growing and growing.  I am now over 5,500 and many of them come in organically on their own.

Please Stumble this post:

Oh and with the StumbleUpon trick your followers will think you are a genius.  So go for it.

I’m Rich

Blogging Make Money with Cybers eBay Plugin for WordPress

Blogging Make Money using Cybers eBay Plugin for WordPress.  Cybercoder who we discussed at length in a previous post makes a lot of money using automated eBay affiliate offers on some of his niche blogs.  He created this out of raw PHP code for himself and then recently released the code in the form of a plugin that you can download and get started right away making money with eBay.

You do not have a dog in the fight so to speak because the plugin just goes out to eBay and finds appropriate offers to match your keywords and you receive instant PayPal income when the reader makes the purchase.  No pain, no strain, no shipping, no handling, no work at all on your part.  How sweet is that?

Here is a screenshot image of how the Blog post would look:

cyber-ebay-plugin1

It really is pretty cool and is absolutely a perfect money maker for all you niche marketers.

It is available at the very low price of only $17.00 which will be a mere pittance compared to the income it can make for you.

Just go ahead and click the “Buy Now” button and you will be up and running in a few minutes.

Are Banner Ads Income Generators for You or for the Advertiser?

When I was a kid I grew up in dairy farming country.  The people that owned and operated these family businesses were the true salt of the earth in my opinion.  There are not many businesses where you get to work 7 days a week, 365 days a year with backbreaking labor, toil and sweat just for the opportunity to have some bulk milk buyer pay you what ever he wants at a rate that he sets according to the butter fat content of your milk delivery for the day.

At age 13 I worked on one local farm, boarded out as they say, for one summer season and decided I would have a career in electronics.  One thing that I remember vividly was when a man in a suit and hat stopped at the farm one day, suits and hats were a rarity around those parts, and he made a deal with the farmer to paint a huge advertising sign for his clothing company in the nearby city on the end of the barn.  My farmer boss was very excited to gain $20.00 per year in payment and he chuckled to think that from now on he would never have to paint that end of the barn.

Well that was a paid ad wasn’t it?  There were also little Burma Shave advertising signs along the road that you could read one sign after the other as you were moving and they were cute little rhymes which ended with the Burma Shave sign.  You might also remember seeing handbills or posters plastered all over blank wall spaces around construction projects.  Well those were free ads weren’t they?  You might have seen a sign that said “Post No Bills !”  Well what that meant was the property owner was sick and tired of offering his real estate to non-paying handbill advertisers.

So I am sort of wondering if we in the Internet Marketing business can gain anything from these older but similar situations.  You as a publisher own real estate.  Your real estate consists of from say 200 to 300 square inches of space on a video terminal.  You generally have some appropriate graphics and images that fit the theme of your website design, and then you have a body area where you write articles and include images or graphs and such.  Then on one or two sidebars you have some column advertisements that you provide “Free” real estate for, as in no cost to the advertiser, and the only way you can make any money is if someone clicks on that banner and then makes a purchase, and then trusting upon the integrity of the affiliate advertising manager, and sometimes I wonder, you will be paid a paltry sum of a commission for the transaction.

Well I do this on over a hundred websites, but I am not happy with it.  We are giving up space on our sites to increase the brand awareness of the advertiser even if no one buys, don’t we?  A better method would be to charge a minimal insertion fee that could be equated to a value compiled from say your traffic metrics or number of average views per month.  Would the advertisers be apt to go along with this?  Not a chance!  Not a chance that is unless we could all join in and start demanding at least some type of compensation for furthering the advertisers brand awareness.  It is only fair even though I doubt will ever happen.

So if you are torqued off about this you might want to consider inserting ads for your own products and kick the cheapskate squatters off your property.  Evict them for non-payment of rent.  Come up with an eBook,or sell crafts you make, or the Brooklyn Bridge, something, anything at all that you can call your own and that you will make 100% of the profit on.  Maybe if enough publishers started doing this to enough of the freeloading advertisers they might get the message.  What say you?

Blogging Make Money – CSS Text Size – How to Mix Text Size in a WordPress Post

CSS Text Size is set in your WordPress theme to whatever size and type style the theme designer decided to use.  In most cases the only thing that you can do to call attention to a specific word or sentence is to highlight the word/s and use either “bold” or “italic” from the toolbar.  In your Blogging Make Money effort there will be times that you will want to use these instructions.

Have you ever wondered how to mix various sizes within the same post?
Well I have and have also searched a few times on Google for how to do this but never came across the right answer, or rather never found one that I could understand.

So this morning I was on a Skype chat with my friend, and PHP / WordPress guru, @Cybecoder otherwise known in the world as David Cooley.  I posed this question to him and got simple one or two word answers, he likes to kid around, and then I realized he really was telling me how, but he wanted me to discover it for myself.

At first I was not asking the question properly and he was instructing me how to go into the CSS and change things like:   font-family:Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; but then I explained that no, I meant how to “mix” font sizes, now that’s a different story.

So the words went from something like this; “CSS,” “visual editor,” “pick them,”yeah, then what? “Highlight text,” “use toolbar,”  “format”…  Crap, I still didn’t get it.  So after clicking everything I could find on the toolbar it suddenly dawned on me that if you click on the kitchen sink, farthest icon to the right, a drop down box shows up that you can select the font size in by selecting from the examples shown, such as Heading 1 through Heading 6.

So in the two pictures you will see how easy it is to change or mix the “CSS Text Size” in a WordPress Post.
1 – visual editor
2 – toolbar – kitchen sink
3 – highlight text
4 – dropdown box, select Header size.

So after finally learning this I figured I would share it because I doubt that I am the only non-programmer programmer that has to be forced into learning all this goofy junk just to get their words across to their readers.  If you have read other articles on this Linkmoney.org Blog you will realize that I am “NOT” a programmer.  I hate programming!  But I must admit it is kinda fun when you do learn some new little tricks like this one.

Now if any of you readers need help with your WordPress Blog or theme just ask David.  You can follow him on Twitter @cybercoder or go to his website at www.cybercoded.net/ , where his byline is “Helping others with their WordPress, PHP and Online Presence.” Cybercoder is the best and if he only works on your problem for five or ten minutes that is all he charges you for.

Let’s hear from you readers.  Does Blogging Make Money for you?  If it does you will need to know some of these little tweaks along the way to make your point.  Do you have anything that you can add to this subject?  Even if you just want to tell me how much of a programming idiot I am that’s OK too.  Please leave your comments and suggestions.

After all we only can learn from people like you that know how.

I Blog Therefore I Tweet another Linkmoney first

Do you get sick of the hype about all the free traffic generators to use for Twitter? Well here is another one, only catch is this one won’t cost you any money! Did you ever notice how Linkmoney, (link and money) seem to go so well together? (Andy Rooney)

The usual thing to do with a Twitter account is to write catchy little twips that will grab the reader’s attention so that they will click on your link right? OK, so if your are a genius with a razor sharp wit you can keep the energy level high and generate new stuff every few minutes and each one of your posts just might grab a new visitor to your Blog or to purchase your giddy gadget-du-jour.

What happens after the scroll? Your pin point sales pitch is gone, as in gone, gone, gone. Sure it might have grabbed a couple of people but once it has scrolled off the radar range you have to dream up some new piece of wisdom and wit to do it all over again, right?

Well no longer boys and girls. Here is a way to rejuvenate your Blog, drive new traffic to your website and it is as easy as 123. You already have your tweet posts right at your fingertips! You are a blogger, right?

You already created some wonderful short clip words of wisdom for your Blog post titles, right? Here is what you do.

Open a text editor and go to your Blog. Click on each Blog post title then take your little mousey and highlight the title, copy, and paste it over to the text editor. Then make a tinyURL for the Blog post URL and copy and paste that over to the text editor. Voila! You now have a tweet that is ready to post.

If you do not have a tinyURL tool of choice, go get one. Google will show you where. I prefer to use the tool at XR.com because it is one of the shortest ones out there. Bit.ly is another, it does not matter which URL shortener you use the object is to get the link to be as short as possible to save some of your 140 character Twitter post.

So now go through your whole Blog and create a title and a link to each of the posts. I know you all created catchy titles when you wrote the Blog posts so these will be sure to be winners on Twitter as well.

Now when you fill that text file with dozens of tweet posts you will have plenty of ammunition to use when ever you want to give a tweet! That is the manual way of course but see what’s next for the Piece-de-resistance!

Here is the free tool that will post these messages for you on a scheduled time program that you define. Use http://feedmytwitter.com. You just log in using your Twitter user name and Twitter password and it is very easy to set up.

My Account: (meaning your account)
Current Status: (running or stopped – you select)
Post Random Tweets: (you select the schedule anywhere from two minutes to hours, day, week, month or whatever.)

Message: (empty text box where you copy and paste each of your tweets that you created on your text editor. Yes you have to do them one at a time, but this is the last time you will have to do it.)

Once they are all pasted in, go down to the bottom and hit “SAVE” – Go back up to the top and hit the “START” button and walk away whistling Dixie!

You are now keeping your brand on Twitter 24/7 and with enough titles that get published randomly your followers will not get upset with you because each of your tweets has a purpose and meaning.

Besides all of that you are now freed up to just occasionally use some of your witty barbs that you are so fond of doing. More is better and it will surely just add to your mystique and your followers will marvel in how intelligent you are.

Oh, and by the way, there is no cost for using Feed My Twitter, honest. Now just watch your social traffic pick up and your followers will increase also.

Do you know of any tools like this that you can recommend to get your message out to millions of people?

Leave your comment or suggestion below.

Outsourcing Success Tips That Every Outsourced Worker Wishes Their Boss DIDN’T Know

Author: Nicole Munoz

Oh, the price you’ll pay when your boss finds out you had to fire yet another project manager for not meeting a deadline! What can you do differently next time? Outsource! The benefits of outsourcing are endless because they allow a company to hire out a specially-skilled employee with no strings attached. This means that a full-time staffer doesn’t need to be hired for each function of the business. The overhead is dramatically reduced and a business can still get superior quality work at a fraction of the cost!

istock_000002093341xsmall

There are many companies that offer outsourcing services including startrankingnow, odesk and rentacoder. The goal of these companies, and others like them, is to provide an array of specialized services. Some offer software programming, web development, content writing, customer service, and even marketing folks. All you have to do is decide what services you need, find the right person for the job, and they’ll get the job done. It makes hiring a team of experts one of the easiest and most profitable actions you can take to benefit your business!

There are several great tips for helping an outsourced project go according to plan and to get the results you’re looking for. First, make a 1 page project summary for the team (or individual) and let your expectations be known. This will outline exactly what goals you want accomplished and what you need from them during the project’s lifespan. Next, be sure to set a clear budget and include a timeline of dates for when your project’s mini-goals should be completed. Finally, provide clear and measurable goals, sometimes referred to as check points, to help determine if the project was completed to your expectations or if it has fallen short.

Even better than written documents that outline your goals and expectations, why not create a detailed step-by-step PDF, Power Point presentation, or Camtasia video to explain the precise steps and procedures to get the project done? These programs are powerful tools that can illustrate the benefits of your product or service and can serve to clarify your project expectations, can give direction to the tasks, and will specify how you want your message to be told. Pictures tell a thousand words and with these 3 programs you can do just that by really driving home your budget, timeline, goals, and what you anticipate the end result to be.

The bottom line is that outsourcing provides you with any type of team member you need. It gets you right to the source of the expert help you need without the expense of hiring another full-time staffer. Simply hire a well-qualified service provider that has already had years of experience. Remember to clearly and concisely outline projects and goals for your virtual team so they have clear direction and can meet your expectations. If it doesn’t work out, there are plenty of other freelance prospects to turn to. With these tips in mind, you’ll avoid that “walk of shame” to your boss’s office to report that another person had to be fired for letting a client down.
