Well because it so damned profitable to the publishers, to Amazon, and mostly to the gurus that sell the information product seminars and subscription programs on “How to Publish on the Kindle”.

Does that make sense to you? Sure you want to make money with creating your own eBooks and publishing them on the Kindle, as well as many other types of eReaders, tablets and phones. But have you seen the prices that these gurus are getting for their subscription programs?
